A Home Designed with Stone in Mind

A home designed with stone in mind, this Fairfield County residence features a custom Gault veneer stone blend as the foundation for several unexpected stone elements both inside and out.

Interior Highlights:

Countertops

Countertops throughout the home feature beautiful Calacutta Gold and Grigio Versilla marble hand selected by the homeowner. Gault fabricators mitered the edges of the countertop in the bar area to give the appearance of a thicker slab and created a statement backsplash in the kitchen by running the slab behind the glass cabinetry.

Fireplaces

Elegant and sophisticated in design, the four fireplaces in the home were custom fabricated by Gault. Featuring a mix of marble and granite, unique features include the leather finish of the Magic Black granite fireplace surround in the office and soapstone firebrick in the great room fireplace. 

Exterior Highlights: 

The exterior of the home features a wide array of stone in veneer, wall and hardscape applications. The veneer stone on the base of the home, pool and walls was custom blended by Gault with local granites to create a mix of dark grays and browns desired by the homeowner. 

To compliment the veneer stone, Chateau limestone was chosen for the patios and steps around the main house while Chatham Grey granite was the choice for the pool house patio and pool surround. Other important highlights include the unique design of the chimneys and unexpected elements such as the floating steps along the back wall.
